To boomers, everything MUST have a quick fix. They can't make a distinction between non-complex problems, and complex problems.
Example of a non-complex problem: You have a nail in your tire.
The boomer thinks you can go to your local tire shop and get the problem fixed. They're CORRECT in this assumption.
Example of a complex problem: You have schizophrenia or you're bipolar.
The boomer thinks you can go to your local psychiatrist and get the problem fixed. They're INCORRECT in this assumption.
They literally cannot make a distinction between the two problems listed above.
