The book I'm talking about is "El rostro de la sombra", by Alfredo Gómez Cerdá.
A Chad called Adrián and his two friends want to make it big in social media by pulling off a prank. They record themselves hurling large boulders at a highway and one of the cars takes a wrong turn to avoid the rock and gets wrecked. They film this too. Consequently, they sneak into their high school to upload the video (if they had uploaded it from their phones/computers they would have been caught). Eventually, Adrián finds out that the people who had that accident were actually his girlfriend's parents, and the mother struggles for her life in a hospital as a result of their stupid prank. Drama ensues.
Where's the bluepill you say? Well, they hide that they did this crime for the consequences to their personal life as they would no longer go to HS and instead go to a reformatory. But Adrián's life wouldn't be affected drastically. Remember he's a Chad, thus he would get a lesser sentence due to halo effect, and he also would get Dark Triad points for having been in a reformatory, enabling him access to higher quality pussy than Nuria (his gf), even if she dumped him. And that's a big if, since foids can have their children killed by their current partner and still love him, they would care even less that their boyfriend killed her mother.
I can't imagine someone reading this stupid plot and going "Hmmm, this is very realistic with all the human interactions and premise, let's publish it!".
