While I agree those 3 apps are major influences on the rapid acceleration of inceldom, them coming out within a narrow span of each other can be explained as them simply iterating and the previous ones design. Instagram was unique in that it was the first social media platform to compete directly with Facebook. There was a brief period there where everyone (especially women) were leaving FB for IG, exclusively. Female users are gold because they attract countless betas to the platforms they participate on. They also click ads and shop endlessly. Anyways, IG's design was very influential as it was tailored to smartphone users (females pretty much exclusively use smartphones/tablets) and we see countless apps since then have adopted many of IG's design philosophies.
