Personality matters only if your looks are at a certain level.
If you're under, you could be the nicest and smartest guy ever and you still wouldn't regularly smash or easily find a gf.

The reverse is true too.
If you're socially awkward or stupid, you can easily compensate with looks.

So basically you are first judged on your looks and only then (maybe) on your personality.
