Why wouldn't they just make a new series or something? It makes no sense to just ditch James Bond for some Doctor Who-esque bullshit, where they just change who 007 is every few films.

The thing is not that she'll be James Bond: the (tenuous and forced) idea was to make James Bond retire, and so someone else takes the 007 tag. It's just ridiculous, honestly.

I wouldn’t have cared if Elba was bond because I always thought of the Bond movies, besides Craig’s Casino Royale, to just be pretty good background noise. I never really found most of them engaging and barely cared about the already inconsistent lore.
