JFL Bill Gates calls India 'a laboratory to try things'

India was a very poor country until it's economic opening. It is going very well now, a lot of people still live in poverty but more are lifted out every year. Now it has become a hub for innovation, as it's population is large and young so there is a lot of experimentation. Bill Gates is correct in his statement.

That's actually great news. India has always been the bottom of the world so India even doing better is a great thing for the world

India did not start at the bottom. India had been the largest economy in the world for the past 1500+ years, it only took a bad turn when the British arrived. The population of India had always been large, and the culture is ancient and rich.
