I'm currently playing HITMAN (2016). It's truly amazing.
Hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of challenges to complete. Each time you play a level, you read, see and hear different things, and there are so many different ways of playing the game and dealing with your targets. There's a remarkable attention to detail, the AI is phenomenal, everything works fantastically. Having played (excessively) all previous Hitman games, I can't recommend this one enough. This is peak stealth gaming. It's the best one yet (...maybe not, since HITMAN 2 came out last year… but I haven't played it yet, so whatever).

Stalker CoC is comfy af, have a clear sky playthrough on the go at the moment, although I have all the best guns atm so I'm getting bored.

For me though probably Witcher 3, mostly because of the games atmosphere. That and Warhammer 2 Total War which I've had hundreds of hours of fun with.

I have modded that game to hell and back.

My current modded COC is hardcore as fuck, there are many npcs, mutants ( All 100% Probab. Hit and played on Master ofc )
I tweaked everything to my own liking, since some mods had the option to do it in the TXT. file.
Indeed, it is a brilliant masterpiece, if you know what Addons entertain you the most, and work the best.
Bloodzuuckers, and Trolls are one of my favorite opponents.
All hail Monolith!

The game is very customizable , look at all the mods at revoltzone.net
There are still hardcore fans out there making nice models for the game, and also doing community patches as they go along at RVGL.
I use the banned GOG version, which got removed from GOG.
It has the original soundtrack music which i adore.

I don´t have any experience with Linux, since i never used that system.
I have the game on my XP SP3 computer, works like a charm.
The dreamcast version is pretty good btw, solid port.

Be careful using windows xp in 2019. The moment you connect that PC to the internet it will get immediately infected with malware, and even if you don't have important documents/information there, cyber criminals can control your computer remotely to perform illegal activity using your ip.
