First is that there is little entertainment, like movies, arcades, nothing that encourages you to leave home. Small town women have as much ego as big city women, as the population is smaller they compete among themselves with much more vigor. Of course most are already in relationships, the low diversity is also a problem if you don't fit into the bubble you are completely excluded.

I believe that this is due to the low market of course, but I also think that since everyone knows each other it is much easier for the prostitute to have a dirty image throughout the city. Small towns are usually very conservative.
