I wish they could detect autism in the womb so I could have been terminated. Being forced to live as an autistic man is like being sent to jail for a crime you know you didn’t commit. You didn’t choose to live this life. The loneliness is overwhelming; I’m surrounded by people, but still feel like I’m invisible, like no one truly understands what it’s like to be me. It’s like being sentenced to a life of isolation, where I’m constantly reminded that I don’t belong.
