Being called ugly by my dad and sister really fucked me up, I'm not sure if my self esteem will ever recover, even after getting surgery. On one hand I'm happy that they told me the truth but on the other I feel so hopeless, I must be a terrible person for them to hate me so bad that they'd be willing to call me ugly...

But all I did was exist. That's my mistake.

My father always made it clear that i was ugly, he even told me how hideous i was as a newborn. He was never aggressive in saying that though, he was rather mocking me. Even then, that idea stuck with me deeply.
