Chuddy, the patriarchy is still a thing you know! Implying that it isn't invalidates the lived experiences of those under male-dominated workspaces, abusive male-domineered relationships, both at our first world countries where thankfully we've made some progress, and at places like Afghanistan where the patriarchy won and South Korea where the patriarchy is still winning. You would've known all this if you've read books by great thinkers such as Virginia Wolfe, just saying!
