In a technical sense, I am biracial. To be more specific, I am mostly white with a considerable amount of Native American ancestry. During my early childhood, I lived on a reservation, but now I reside in a small town in Oregon. I have white skin, brown eyes, and brown hair, so I always listed my race—for example, on standardized tests when I was in school—as white since I am white-passing. However, that never truly felt accurate.
