The male principle is associated with truth, light, the Sun, virility, activeness, and stability. Sometimes it is associated with the Universal One that existed before the Dyad. The female quality is associated with deception, changeability, the moon, the earth, darkness, wetness, passivity, and dependence on another.

What the Greeks called “heterity,” that is, being connected to another or being centered on someone other than oneself, is a characteristic proper to the cosmic female, whereas to have one’s own principle in oneself is proper to the pure male. . . . female life is almost always devoid of an individual value but is linked to someone else in her need, born of vanity, to be acknowledged, noticed, flattered, admired, and desired (this extroverted tendency is connected to that “looking outside” which on a metaphysical level has been attributed to Shakti). (Eros, 157)

This is even more relevant today. JFL at people who think social media culture started the female cycle of validation. Imagine what it would be like to be unable to form a real opinion about anything. Even the ugliest females have never been able to see themselves as truly ugly because they lack the capability of introspection. If a woman says she sees herself as ugly, it is only in the most superficial way, because she reached that conclusion based on external feedback (which is almost always positive). And if somehow she received negative feedback, that view of her own ugliness would just sit right on the surface, waiting for someone else to come along a few minutes later and validate her, cleansing her from that momentary glimpse of the truth. No matter what, there will never be a grand realization. The anger or the pain or the sorrow or the bitterness can never penetrate to a woman's core and gnaw away at them the way it would for a man. Femoids live perpetually in the moment, and their views of the past and future are purely selfish and totally subconscious. Never can the conscious and the subconscious connect in the meaningful way necessary to produce real philosophical thought. You or me would feel some level of guilt about starting a video game on "very easy" or putting in a God mode cheat code on life, regardless of whether we would if we could. The female not only plays on the easiest difficulty but enjoys the ignorant bliss of being incapable of feeling any remorse towards those that are less lucky.

Is it just me, or is the look in Alain Delon’s Eye a little bit more brooding than usual this evening?

Your imagination, I didn't change the picture.

It is admittedly a "Mona Lisa" style picture, his cold glaze is penetrating and obscure at the same time.

I said it because it feels as though your posts this evening have been slightly more brooding in their tone.

Interestingly enough though, there was a spooky moment in which his expression in that picture had seemed to mirror tonight’s darker tonal inclination.

I’d wager that if you could choose anyone to look like, it would be him?

High IQ thread from Fontaine again.

Young Delon would be a sure bet if a wood fairy spawns in front of you during a forest walk and asks you what your new appearance shall be... Can't go wrong with this. He looks a bit too feminine, but this is a quality in modern times.

Fuck, this has given me an idea: write novels about a skinchanging sorcerer who uses good looks to seduce people and achieve world domination.

I actually consider it quite strange how male actors from that era mirror the modern paradigm of a leading male identically. Delon, Brando, Dean and Newman are not so different in appearance to Leto, DiCaprio, Franco or Cooper.

Then weirdly Elizabeth Taylor or Marilyn Monroe are both undeniably beautiful but they don’t really mirror the modern leading female paradigm. I guess Bidget Bardot kind of does but she was known for her unique look. Then If you look at renaissance art depicting aesthetic perfection it’s squewed even more.

I wonder if it might be indicative of the relative cultural maluability of what males find attractive whilst female attraction may be set more firmly in evolutionary stone.

High IQ, I was always fascinated by the works of Evola.

I've always found "sex symbols" like Monroe to be ugly; so you may be right about that.

Evola is unfortunately too intimidating for the average reader. You can sense the piercing focus of his monocle almost burning your hair as you ask yourself: "am I worthy to read his works?"

For Evola, 98% of men were beasts. It's quite challenging to see yourself as the lucky few destined to be "bigger than life".

Still makes for great and entertaining reading, though. Even beasts enjoy some instruction about their own selves.
