I don't know why they say 175-176cm (5'9-5'9.25) is average for USA. That includes older guys who would've shrunk since their primes. If you break it down to whites only under 40, we can see it's roughly 178-79cm for the whole country. (5'10.5). At a weak 5'10/strong 5'9 myself I get mogged by nearly 1 inch in northern territories.
