these people delude themselves so much, they keep quiet and put up with all the inconvenience just to say "i use Linux" or some other bullshit like "by using Linux i say fuck you to corporations" despite the fact that large corporations invest a lot of money into kernel development and some other projects because it benefits them cause they use it on their servers

This would be the best option for anyone unhappy with this decision, I agree.

But... I feel like it's just "one of those things" if it's true that Linus' hands are tied.

It's also correct what he says in this video though that Linus' way of handling it was seen by many as very poor... in my opinion it's pretty rude, unprofessional, politicised, etc.

It's a real shame because I've always liked Linus but this is really silly IMHO.

He could have just explained to everyone about the sanctions but instead he posts an aggressive, politicised statement that seems to be repelling people from the project in considerable numbers.
