This is one of the most ridiculous aspects of the West, this cult of this "big" WW2 victory in 1945.

Think about how many years have passed and they still bring that up.

I'm not a fan of Hitler's politics but it is really hilarious.

That was was basically the entire world against Germany yet they celebrate it as if they were some underdogs who barely won. It's like ganging up with 5 buddies to beat up some drunk guy in a bar and then bragging about it for the rest of your life, and then your sonds and grandchildren brag about it too.

I imagine when the West will be a total ruin in 2045 people will still proudly celebrate the 100 years of beating Hitler and cope with "we saved the world from evil" while their daughters are in Chad and Tyrone harems and their societies crumble because of low birth rates and men not giving a shit anymore because they have no purpose to live.

I mean it happened in 1945 and these retarded Westerners keep bringing up their little victory as something relevant till this day. TILL THIS DAY!! TILL THIS DAY!!!

The reason they celebrate it so much is because Hitler kicked their asses in the first 2 years of the war. But Hitler never had a prayer of holding on to those gains. And German economy would have collapsed if they didn't go to war and loot most of Europe.

Still, imagine if WW2 didn't happen when it did but 10-20 years later... with nuclear weapons. Oh well, there's always hope for WW3.

Peter Hitchens (based guy btw) just wrote a new book called The Phony Victory about how Britain went into permanent decline after WW2 (meanwhile Germany, Japan, and others all prospered). So yeah, celebrating “winning” WW2 is pretty retarded really. Nothing was won.

Also hilarious how it took almost the entire world to defeat just Germany, and it took them fucking 5 years. Like wtf, German technology was so ridiculously ahead of everyone else that it was laughable. British had radar, better planes, ships and computers but that was it. German tanks, guns and rocket technology was light years ahead. Russia is 20 tomes the size and yet it was crippled and almost defeated.

In the US and Canada, boomers were given the world by the people who "beat Hitler". Their entire life of comfort and their "right" to drive society off a cliff is based upon the privilege they received, and feel entitled to, after WW2. It's one thing for the people who actually lived through WW2 to look back on it as a time of struggle and sacrifice, but the boomers are so bankrupt as a generation they have to take pride in what their parents did to justify their position. It's basically a creation myth for them, and they won't let it go.
