They treat them a bit like gay men, though, in the sense that they see them as asexual handbags. Also, most people in RL do not really listen to K-Pop, they do not read underground manga and do not fantasize about gentle anime femdom or whatever. The types that do are mostly blue-haired whales and incels who should REALLY take a shower. I feel that chan and incel culture HEAVILY overestimates the actual popularity of manga. Most people like everything "Asian" in a very vague and superficial way. Which is nice, of course and a nice compliment, I guess, but for most people this really is VERY superficial.
