I always keep hearing from people about ascending. What a joke. The whole reason that being an incel is a problem to oneself is simple - It makes your life worse and it limits you..
Being an incel, ugly in particular(short people are a bit different story), raises the following problems:
1. Your mere presence makes people uncomfortable. Compared to an attractive guy, you will have a harder time even having their attention or interest.
While it's different and more subtle for people you're familiar with, it's especially true to people who you just met. They will be less attracted to you not just in terms of sexuality but rather regular interest as well. The inability of one to notice the effects of exterior does not negate those effects. Just because a normie doesn't notice he actually feels a bit bad by looking at your face doesn't negate the fact he feels that way. IT, the leftist-feminist political board, usually makes the argument they don't care, which completely opposes and disregards any psychological and neurological findings regarding cognitive processes - What you know about your brain isn't necessarily the only thing in your brain. In other words, your ugliness will effect people's mood and feelings, and as we've seen so far - Some take their feelings to the extreme.
2. Your ugliness could affect people's empathy towards you - It's important to say that there are some cases where ugliness, when done right, could make you appear as an inferior creature - Thus worthy of empathy. But certain types of ugliness, especially those with an intimidating flavor to them, could and is likely to lower people's empathy towards you. As I've sad in the paragraph above, external data such as exterior will affect people's feelings.
The most popular and troublesome example I could find of this is court. In court, an ugly person is more likely to have less empathy dedicated to him along with possible distaste by the judges themselves. So if you're facing a law suit, whether you're the one to sue or the opposite, you're gonna have a harder time if the other side is pretty and looks more "innocent" than you. It will affect the judge's feeling and thus the final results. An ugly ogre sitting next to a fragile looking and pretty girl will have a much harder time convincing the judge he's the one being just than say if it was the opposite.
3. You actually have a fundamental basis to being ashamed of yourself. Compared to attractive people, you actually have a reason to think you're of lower quality. When you look at the mirror and you see a reflection of your ugly face, it will be much harder to get rid of your self esteem issues if you have a memory it's hard to control - What might happen is you will remember how your face looks and it could distract you and affect your daily routine, as you will be able to tell how ugly you are. An example of such behavior can be found among people that watch a horror movies. It's not always easy to forget, and if you wake up and see your face everyday those memories will follow you and it will be a lot harder for you love yourself. For that reason people that don't like what they see in the mirror actually try to shave/do haircuts etc. - It's because they want to go outside and remember that earlier this morning they saw a beatiful person in the mirror - Not an ogre. People don't look at themselves 24/7, but if they have standard memory they will be able to remember at least the feeling of what they saw - And that will haunt them for the rest of the day. It's especially true with people with mental disorders such as OCD and other memory related issues.
So no, finding a gf won't rid you of other issues although it's still better than being all alone for most people.
