Outside of relationships it really depends. If I'm involved in a project and I realize that someone is more determined or knows more about the subject, I will see him as a dominant and myself in a lower, submissive role.
I've never been in a relationship before, but I almost always feel like a better leader compared to a woman, so I would very likely be the dominant one in the relationships. When I see a woman in a relationship being the dominant one (like with my parents), I cringe.

I did actually mean in relationships (or rather relative to women, as it can also be purely sexual). I forgot to specify but I think most people assumed I meant that.
