I believe in the rope.

God/religion is the ultimate cope. it's the first cope created by the first incel

I believe that if any of that stuff is true the Buddhists are closest to realizing the true nature of "God."

It's somewhat scary to me because I don't want to live life after life. I don't like life! I don't want to go through the constant failures, suffering, embarrassing moments, go through school again, have to deal with dating, etc. It's all shitty.

I can't escape the idea of a higher power, although I don't follow any religion, nor believe in a "god".

Afterlife is different dude the social contract between you and people afterlife doesn’t work the same Irl
People will actually treat you just by the things you do and how you behave in afterlife being chad doesn’t mean shit .
I don’t know why you think Buddhist are the closest to right I think Christianity is actually the closest thing.

I'm a practicing Christian and I pity everyone who isn't.

I know right!! It’s fucking bs why don’t god just tell us what to follow there are like fucking 3 millions of religions which one is the right one? Hut yet god not saying shit also it’s stupid to not believe in god because nothing can’t come from nothing there should something by a thing that already exists.

Buddhists do not believe in god

The nirvana is surprisingly accurate to what atheists believe

Emptiness,No desire,No suffering,Non self

Buddihsm is barely a religion compared to Islam,Judaism and Christianity

I believe, god created you in his image :)

Why, because you were raised with it?

Everything in life is cyclical. The seed drops, turns into a tree, drops more seeds, and the cycle continues. I have achieved higher states of awareness of the divine through my practice of Buddhism and Wicca than I've ever had through christ. Although I am very apt to see auras during mass. (catholicism) I've also astrally projected which the church doesn't even mention. God is most likely a machine, not some guy whose image we're formed in (just lol, maybe our soul energy is in its image) that resides in the heavens battling his arch nemesis Satan. It's just silly. And why are all other religions false? Why do the Jews have it wrong, the Muslims, also?

If you look at them both through a rational, scientific lense, both are bullshit. There is no empirical data to support either belief system.

They do, it's the over soul, though. It is the driving force of our reality via experience.

Nirvana is nothing like what an atheist believes.

No suffering and no desire is accurate, don't know where you got the other ones.

Not anymore. I was roman catholic until 18 but then i slowly became an atheist. The funny thing is, you want to know what made me an atheist? Actually reading holy books like the bible and quran lol. I couldn't believe how much bullshit there was and that the preachers only tell you the few "good parts" out of the books. Yet nothing is ever told about slavery, killing and raping, gods wrath, holy wars etc.

The key why religion is so successful is that the preacher teach only "the good parts" and do so when the kids are young and eat up that shit. I truly believe if religious people would care to read their holy book completely from beginning to the end, doesn't matter if bible, quran or whatever then there would be more atheists on this world.

There are only two religions im actually fine with. That is buddhism and japanese shinto religion, although i would rather call them confucian philosophies. They are not pushy with their religion and are for the most part pretty chill people. Thats why i like them.

I think its the most likely thing. As far as my knowledge allows me to see everything points towards there being one. That doesnt mean i think they're nice or have angels and miracles for all i know it could just be some thing that just exist and does absolutely nothing that you could barely call a "god" equally as possible that it is some religious god though. I have no fucking clue and dont think ANYONE will ever know or prove either answer yes or no.

I also think phones and shit are proof of magic so im probably just dumb but how the hell does someone pressing pretty much rocks, glass, and plastic together allow me to have a phone that plays video/music and calls someone on the other side of the world.

Thats debateable. The only similarity between the two is an abscense of belief in some omniscient deity. Buddhism is about freeing yourself from the material world though while Aethists are just another kind of degenerate who want to hold onto their hedonism and consumerism. All these fucking roasties and Chads are probably also Atheists.

Tbh believing in god makes you feel better. Knowing you have some type of purpose

. I meant the concept of God that is in abrahamic religions (invisible supreme being who influences the world through concious actions)

Why does God even have to fight Satan if Satan is just a fallen angel and God is omnipotent. That makes 0 sense

Yeah Shintoism is based. Also look into Animism its also pretty organic and legit as a belief system.

I only meant the afterlife aspect and what they believe while they live.

Also why doesn’t god tell us who should we believe in ? is he playing games or something like just tell us ffs this world is fucking weird

Yeah I also like Shintoism and Buddhism although they are more philosophies for the most part

I can't say something against Animism because it is peaceful and values ecosystems(Natural balance) but I don't really think that plants and fungi have an active conciousness. But it's good to value them since they are important for nature and animal lives

I like the nature spirit and Ancestor worship aspects of Animism.

Yeah I can agree on that as a vegan.
All of the big world religions brought so much suffering upon the world and that makes me sick.

I am not a fan of religion, but I do believe there is an afterlife.

Getting there by not suiciding is the only thing keeping me alive. I hope to see my folks again.

Honestly rather you believe or not does it really change the decisions and hardships you go through

There's probably no god . We're all just pathetic mammals trying to feel better about the cold and unwelcoming nature of our universe .
Read Camus , "The myth of Sisyphus" . It sums it up marvellously

Im probably searching for an answer that cant be given but i dont see what seperates that from magic. An invisible signal allows me to talk to people with near no delay. At one point that was magic but now its science because we can control it?A witch could control a spell though? I probably have read to many theories but stuff like that bothers me. Pretty much id just keep asking why no matter how many answers someone gave me. So why do phones work? Why do signals work? Why does the thing that makes them work actually work? What about the thing making that work?

Isaiah 53 was a prophecy written about Jesus before Jesus was born. Read that chapter (2 minutes) and tell me it doesn't match the New Testament.

I did not read  much about the topic so I cannot give you an answer. I bet someone who is proficient in physics can do that. Electrical impulses can travel and reach distances (Just like all of these electric impulses in your brain)

We can pretty much understand that since we are replicating it countless times and are getting better at it

Believing is coping. A truecel doesn't believe in anything, heck he doesn't even know what belief/hope/faith is.

I don't know what you're talking about when you say "killing and raping". "Slavery" was actually indentured servitude, it was a method of paying off debts in Old Israel. God's wrath was completely justified. How was wiping out Sodom and Gomorrah not glorious? Degeneracy needs to be abolished.

I personally prefer to think of think of it this way : our universe is caracterized by a bunch of weird laws that we've managed to exploit in such that it suits our needs . If those laws were different , and if intelligent creatures had managed to exist under them  , they would have found out to exploit them and use them as they please .
The natural question which arises is where did these latter laws come from ? No one  can a definite answer to it. We might simply be in a multiverse, or maybe in a simulation , or there might be a giant and omnipotent blueberry which has put us in here  . We might never know  , and maybe one day we might be able to reduce this all to something as elementary as Descartes' cogito , but the thing is it doesn't have to be "magic" . The "magical" caracteristic of magic from the "not understood" and "mysterious" veil which  covers the magical thing. When you say "it is magical" or " God did it " , you're just avoiding the question and outing the debate. The fact that we don't know is the most beautiful and elegant about all of this , and the struggle of trying to figure it all out and breaking it down to simple things that we understand is what's so great about life . I would honestly be disappointed if it were just 'magical' .
This might not be satisfying , and that's simply my opinion .

I mean I don’t believe something can come from nothing it’s just hard to explain but Yeah it’s just make me feel better about my shitty life

I don't know if I believe in any of the popular religions but I think there's a strong possibility of some sort of God

I am considering islam.
