My mother is technically an immigrant, but she is white and has nothing in common with 90% of immigrants in burgerland who are overwhelmingly from the global south. My father is descended from the old immigrants who came in the 19th century, as well as the founding stock of the country.

Not cause of that. Look up Assyrians in google, we simply aren't brown. Assyrian men do tend to look foreign but thats if we decide to grow a beard. Other than that I have never been confused for anything besides white. (Except by Arabs who somehow can tell I'm not.)
