If you see multiple posts that don't get removed then you make a similar higher effort post, why would anything happen to you unless it clearly broke a rule?

Other sites have selective enforcement of rules; get banned for having a minority opinion or being an "unpopular" user.

Which rules are constantly being broken by certain users but they never get punished? How many banned users can explain why they shouldn't have gotten their warnings? Different from why they think they don't deserve to get banned. If you get enough warnings you will be banned.
