Currently at the airport waiting to board my flight. I’ve been on over a dozen flights since I was little, but I still get anxious every time I fly…

One time my mom gave me some mint bubblegum and it was so strong I was struggling to breathe while the plane was already in the air, I almost shat myself ngl

@Castaway stay the fuck away from mint bibblegums pls

only when the pilot is indian, only scared of air india, anything with jeets is doomed to fail crash explode die

Only once, and it was when i was returning home back in March because the plane i was on had letters painted in the Pride flag

No, I'm not Stalin

My mouth gets dry and i usually end up with a sore throat not long after
That happens to me if I take the 250mg of dramamine (aka benadryl) I need to not puke on the plane

that, plus i have weird nightmares and my knees are extremely jittery

I wanted to become a pilot myself so most certainly not.

What kind of plane you flying on? My guess is probably an Airbus or Boeing twin engine if you're going short distance or even a Turboprop.

No, it’s enjoyable.

Interesting, the Dreamliner isn't it? I remember at some airshow it was able to do a Vertical Takeoff once leaving the runway quite impressive for a commerical airliner.

I prefer submarines

nah I’m fine with planes

I hate the people in planes

No, then again I don’t fear death either.

No, dying in a car accident is actually more probable.

I used to fly planes in video games nigga, i am not afraid of anything

Yes im usually afriad of anything that's even remotely dangerous and avoid it

Yes but if you do get into an accident on an airplane youre very likely to die. In a car most accidents are not fatal that's the thing that scares me

It's more over you're at the mercy of the Pilots being still able to maneuver the aircraft and land safely unless there has been catastrophic damage that they are unable to land or the fuselage breaks.

Humans naturally fear whenever they don't have control over the situation their in and are at the mercy of something else.

I know that chance of anything bad happening is low but if it does happen, you're fucked. I'd rather be in the train that derails than in airplane that fails on take-off or landing, In most cases, this is a human factor, followed by technical problems and insufficient inspection and care.
At least after each and every one of these accidents there are changes to Pilot training and airplane maintenance to make sure this doesn't happen again.

Like after the Air Asia crash in 2014 over the Java Sea all pilots are trained to recover from High Altitude stalling and to avoid flying in Coffin Corner where the chance of stalling or overspeed is highly likely.
