Are you able to be with your own thoughts all day (while working, relaxing, doing anything) without music, TV or any kind of background noise?

I really wish I'd have the ability to not need these things.

I always need to slightly distract myself basically. Well, I haven't done much except rot for a long time now, but regardless of if I'm rotting or working, I have to have something distracting me, some noise to keep me feeling comfy.

Idk, otherwise I get antsy and bored and stressed.

Can't even play a game without having a sitcom in the background, it's weird. Can't put it into words but I guess it has something to do with my low energy (mental), having something in the background is soothing I guess. Music doesn't really do it though, sitcoms give me tiny dopamine hits at a regular interval I guess.

I feel like I'm literally the exact opposite.

Huh. Guess I just need to suck it up and stick with it and maybe I'll be able to do that too. I tried a few times and I ended up downloading sitcoms again in days or even hours.

Yes, sometimes I just lay down on my bed, close my eyes and just think about stuff. I think mostly of the future whenever I do this.

I sometimes fall asleep too, it's very peaceful.

At night when I struggle for three hours to fall asleep, I just have my thoughts.

I didn't mean it in that sense; I love sitcoms.

It's the multi-tasking thing that drives me insane. I can only focus on one thing at a time.

Leaving music, especially spotify or "watching" films, especially netflix in the background is a normie trait. Does anyone else here actually listen to music, as in actually paying attention to the beat/lyrics/sound etc? I do this regularly and I feel like this is an autistic trait.

Yeah I know, that's what I meant. I need to suck it up and try not to polute my mind with multi-tasking. Although it's really stressful for some reason, to just be stuck with one thing in silence. Idk why.

Nope, I'm watching YT videos or livestreams all the time in the background.

Oh, I see. What are you stressed about?

Might be OCD.

no I constantly run something

I like to take some time to lose myself in my thoughts, but apart from that I need something to do. Watch a video, listen to music, play a game, read something while some ambient music is playing, etc.
