assuming I was a dictator or if I was to imagine my ideal state, then yea, It would be very much totalitarian. The individual exists to serve the state. All Children from 6-18 would undergo compulsory education to be loyal to the state, they would not have any concern for things like Ethnicity, religion or anything, just the state and leadership. Any form of resistance is punishable by death, re-education or concentration camp.

if you get benefits (healthcare, free education, free housing etc) Hell, look how people reacted when Stalin or Kim Il-Sung died. They were weeping and crying and many still miss them for leading the country and being a sort of father like figure to the people.

There is a point to be made with this. Monarchies had the benefit too where the rulers saw their people almost as an extension of themselves.

yes, and it would be authoritarian communist. Egalitarianism and forced compassion, but without degeneracy or liberalism. Ideally reproduction would be computer controlled as well which would enable communal raising, and people being spayed/neutered like animals when they're young, thus abolishing sex in all its forms, and having genetic material extracted (e.g. stem cells/blood) to keep the gene pool going via complete randomness.

yeah they were revered for a reason. In fact contrary to CIA propaganda many of them were not only beloved but those countries were arguably more democratic than the USA and people actually wanted them. Most people in Europe miss the USSR too.
