No. Lepers actually had a reason to be shunned, as terrible as it was. Most incels I see are shunned and bullied because people can get away with mocking outcasts.
like the way Trump got away with shunning amputee vets from any of his rallies cuz in his mind it showed failure or weakness?

Anyone could get lepracy cause it was a disease. The medeival term of "troll" or "mountain men" would be more equivalent to incel.
But thats exactly my point. We arent a disease so why are we treated like one. Suggesting that we existed under different names in medieval times i get, but my question pertains to the treatment of us, like we are a disease.

An interesting thing about lepers is I'm not convinced it was bacteria responsible. I mean I am sure the wounds became infected with bacteria, and that created its own problems, but why did some people develop it but not others.
My feeling is it was probably a combination of factors. Like a shortage of some key nutrient that some people got especially low amounts of. And some peoples bodies just were not good at storing, or were using too much of that nutrient causing the serious health problem when combined with a shortage of the nutrient.
I am also assuming that people with like severe eczema or psoriasis the wounds back then would get infected and be disastrous. Also things like pellagra.
By the 1800's when high nutrient foods were much more available to most people leprosy declined to almost nothing. Yet this was before antiobiotics were available to treat the infection.

White House, staffer overheard saying that it doesnt look good in the eyes of the masses to show wounded soldiers. Preferable to show the fittest and strongest instead.
