"An 18-year-old inmate from the youth prison in Schleswig, northern Germany, who is serving a three-year sentence for grievous bodily harm and aggravated robbery, is said to have had affairs with two female justice employees. A 27-year-old department head and a 31-year-old psychologist are said to have had a sexual relationship with the then 17-year-old Iraqi for several months.
Both women are also said to have campaigned for his early release, as Bild reports. One day before the prisoner's planned release, the "Corruption Task Force" led by the State Criminal Police Office raided the prison. The department head was suspended and the psychologist resigned.
The two women are being investigated for corruption, and the 18-year-old for bribery. Senior Public Prosecutor Dr. Henning Hadeler explained: "We can say that the prisoner was involved in an official capacity." The Kiel Public Prosecutor's Office is investigating the case.

A similar case recently made headlines in England. Linda De Sousa Abreu (31), a former prison guard at Wandsworth Prison in London, was sentenced to 15 months in prison. She had repeatedly performed sexual acts with an inmate, which were filmed and distributed by a fellow prisoner. The video showing her in uniform went viral and led to harassment of other staff members and a loss of trust in the British prison system.
Judge Martin Edmunds strongly condemned the "serious breach of trust" and stressed the threat to security and discipline posed by her actions. A psychiatric report diagnosed the defendant with a personality disorder that favored impulsive behavior. De Sousa Abreu regretted her actions, but will probably only serve a third of her sentence."
