Yep. I was a teenager when Myspace was in full flow and lived on the internet. It was absolutely nothing like it is today. I used to hang around in a chat room where there were a handful of girls. There weren't even that many people active on Myspace. And it was very short-lived. Myspace had 100 million users at its peak. Instagram currently 600 million active daily users and 1 billion monthly users. Tinder has 60 million users and has been going strong for almost a decade, and has completely normalised casual sex, hookup culture and "FWBs"-- I remember Sex And The City being a female favourite 10 or so years ago. It's one of my sister's favourite shows. That lifestyle was a female fantasy, now it's reality.
