Brutal Apparently they've finally banned imported food and drink from America in the UK

This is a prison country?

I'm not sure of the specifics but I know I can't get my Mountain Dew or Twinkies anymore!

Also they tax sugar in drinks here so even the Pepsi and Dr Pepper is loaded with sweeteners.

This is a prison country

I think they've even banned keeping the sweets and chocolate in an obvious place. They need to be hidden now so people buy them less.

That’s the least of the UK’s concerns

In my day-to-day life though... these things affect me of course.

Since 2020 in particular I've noticed a lot more changes that negatively affect my life directly.

I guess the best thing is to enjoy the things you have left because any one of them could be banned at any time.

damn it's over how are the bongs going to eat goyslop?

You should run up and down the streets calling everyone a nigger faggots!

And they whine about the US passing protectionist measures

Yeah it's not like I'm trying to get cocaine or something. I just want a soft drink and I can't even get that. Sucks.

I don't live in the UK, just seems miserable.

Maybe they want to reduce the NHS waiting time? Since sugar leads to diabetes, rotten teeth, and other health related problems.

Imagine buying mountain dew and twinkies from the dark market...

Thinking like that makes me hate the NHS, but I don't think that would be putting the blame in the right place.

I think this current government here (both Labour and the Tories and to some extent beyond them too) is just really authoritarian. And really bad at running the country, too. So they screw things up and then limit freedoms too.

I know...

That's literally how bad things are getting here.

It's honestly starting to feel like being in a prison.

I still seem to be able to find Dr Pepper but I doubt it will be long before they'll find a reason to ban that too, if they haven't already.
