I find it to be a good cope. Doing it for as little as 3 minutes and I'm significantly calmer. If I do it for 5-10 minutes I feel at total peace with my subhuman self. It is the best way to forgive yourself for being an ugly failure, it's very therapeutic. Your mind stops racing and you step back and realize that it doesn't matter, that there is no reason to stress over it, that it's not your fault. I highly recommend it to subhumans looking for a solid cope.

Were you doing it "properly"? The breathing technique is easiest for me. I just focus on my breathing and when my mind starts to go back to negative thoughts I stop them and go back to focus on breathing.

Yeah I‘m pretty sure I was doing it properly, it’s just that whatever meager effect it had on me basically went away not long after. Also kind of hard to focus too.

yeah the effects don't last long but I hear if you do it frequently they become more and more "engrained" in your overall mood
