It basically ruins what few social interactions you have left. If you were saving money for surgery, forget it. This shit is damaging.
Do not attempt if
1. You want to maintain a steady job
2. You think you have a shot at escaping someday
3. You have irl friends whos company you enjoy and vice versa

I use to browse /x/ when it was good so I understand the risks. Standard escapism isent working so I need to go further. Reality is getting so bad Im willing to give self induced schizophrenia a chance.

2. You could let your tulpa help you to escape, I think it depends how you make your tulpa to be and what reason for
3. I dont really care that much if I lose them

I mean tulpas can support you in every part of your life. Im not creating some femoid tulpa for fake love/sex, Im trying to create a being that understands me on a deeper level and helps me with my emotions and thoughts and some other things if they are possible.
