They pulled me through my madly suicidal phase. They basically functioned like bowling bumpers for the emotions. Cut off the lowest 20% of mood. Was crying most days and would get these strong physical feelings in the pit of my stomach. Haven't taken them for 18 months but would if I felt suicidal in that way. I'm still suicidal and am planning on KMS at some point, but it's less intense and more of a cerebral thing. I'd suggest trying them, as there's nothing to be lost. They work immediately for me, which is weird, as they're supposed to take weeks to build up in your system (and it doesn't feel like placebo).
A big part of depression is chemical. Do you ever feel randomly happy and euphoric for no reason? I do every now and again for short periods. It reminds me just how chemical and arbitrary our mood is.
