Who wants to work in a factory like some Chink honestly? The closest thing to factories here are Amazon warehouses and they have terrible working conditions even though they don’t have to compete with the world wide economy in a race to the bottom for prices.

If we had unions like in Germany it would sound good but Trump loves to fire anyone for striking.

most factories wouldn't want to spend billions to set themselves up in America only for the policy to be changed in a few years or so. If trump goes dictator mode then maybe they would do that shit, otherwise it's too costly and inconvenient.
Chinks factories would just sell their stuff at a higher price instead

He also tariffed all the basic inputs for manufacturing like an absolute moron: steel, sugar, metals, etc so even if the factories do come back the prices will never go down. If he did selective tariffs like Biden, no one would have a problem but he’s too stupid.

Factories are jobs + taxes will go to the US budget, not the PRC budget. I don't see anything wrong, as soon as there are a lot of workers, the unions will return. Trade unions declined along with the disappearance of the working class and the departure of workers into the service sector. So, I think this problem will be solved over time.

Billionaires have already lost billions of dollars on the introduction of these duties, as their fortune depends on the price of shares, and after the introduction of duties, shares have fallen in value. As for the factories, Trump can send prisoners to work for them if there are no takers.

Then it's enough to simply impose taxes of 50% for those companies that will not leave China. If you compare the confrontation between the United States and China as the confrontation between the USSR and the United States, then I cannot imagine that the United States sent its factories to its enemy after 1945 to make it easier for him to fight technology. In fact, the cold war between China and the United States is a fake confrontation, until the introduction of duties.

Industrialisation is what 3rd world countries go through to modernise jfl if he's actually trying to re-industrialise. All that will do is make the world less reliant on America. No ones gonna wanna buy overpriced American crap. China will fill the gap and benefit even more. In the long run it will isolate the US economy and americans will be the ones who suffer with a higher cost of living. The rest of the world will continue to trade as usual. China will continue to benefit. The US loses its economic, technological and political dominance.

The tech and high end sectors will become more reliant on chinks and indians due to resource misallocation. He obviously know this hence the H1B stuff.

Thankfully Drumpfs successor will just backtrack on these shitty policies

What happens if the factory owners prevent unionization? They will just fill them with illegal migrants like in agriculture where the pay and working conditions are shit so very few Americans apply.

This is neocon warmongering, the old USSR and modern day China have very different priorities and a very big reason why the factories left the US after WW2 was because they moved to Europe and Japan, our closest allies to help them rebuild economically to prevent the spread of communism with the Marshall plan.

Factory owners will be forced to make concessions to the workers if the workers use strikes, after all, it is better for factory owners to share their profits than to lose them. On the other hand, the world is too globalistic and they will simply bring curry on an h1b visa to replace white workers.

Yes, but China today is not the same as China in the 1980s and 1990s, when it was a US ally in the Cold War against the USSR. Today, China has replaced the USSR, and Russia is just a Chinese vassal.

China has not replaced the USSR, they only have one overseas military base. They don’t aspire to be the sole hegemonic force in the world at all.

The factories would be heavily automated, like they are in SK, Japan, and Taiwan. They’ll really only rely on cheap labor if they can get it. Same story with farming. Why buy a tractor to till when you can use your kids with some hoes? Oh no, kids are forced into school? Time to buy a tractor.

If we had unions like in Germany
It has been a constant struggle since the second industrial revolution to get US factories to unionize. Any other profession has a better chance of unionizing in all sincerity because factory owners already know all the loopholes to avoid unions.
