Serious Anyone else look better on camera than in the mirror?

I don't know what type of tricks my brain is playing on me but when i look at myself on my phone's camera i don't look half bad then i look in the mirror and i look like a subhuman.

I look human at least in the mirror. When I turn my front facing camera I immediatly get depressed and scurry away to close it

With selfie photos you're too close to the lens, and it makes most people look worse than when it's taken further away.

Tbh there's difference in how bad I look in different mirrors at home. Also I need to anglefraud and creepyexpressionmaxx to have the least amount of bad features in the mirror

what? No, it's usually worse on camera because it's actually an objective fact of what you look like. I'm talking about video where it's at least 1 foot from you. You get used to looking at yourself in the mirror and your brain adapts to it, even though it's flipped.
