I consistently get 3 or less hours of sleep a day, and when i get more it's all broken up into smaller portions so it's basically meaningless

besides the inevitable and encroaching heart attack, it makes any sort of physical activity virtually impossible, and i'm basically in a daze at all times, i can hardly think and can't focus on anything for more than 15 seconds

That sucks!
Do you drink caffeinated drinks?
I can't have anything caffeinated after 16:00 or I can't fall asleep. But I don't wake up easily like you.

no, unless you count a soda once a month at a restaurant, i only drink water and sometimes milk

Yes, but part of that is when I'm online I'm wide awake. When I don't feel like the goddamned Walking Dead I don't want to step away from the PC, whether it's online powerleveling, or on Facebook, YouTube, Reddit, etc.

Sounds like depression.

I was sleeping on less than 4 hours a day for years due to depression. Only recently managed to improve my sleep by fixing my lifestyle which included gymcelling, eating clean and also working on some hobbies.

I won't suggest heroinmaxxing but have you tried heroinmaxxing?

I used to until I bought blackout curtains and use my fan for noise. I used to get woken up by the sun and lawnmowers or dogs all the time.

too much of an outcast to know where to get it

i'm not being woken up by anything, this happens when it's completely dark and silent

I got depression but i sleep always between 8 and 10 hours a day.

l sleep 8h.....but sometimes l dream l have a gf/wife and when l wake up, it sucks

start smoking weed or drinking before bed or go to the dr and get sleeping pills

wtf, go to a doctor
for some reason they don't really seem to care about sleep related stuff from the ones i've been to, no matter what i say about how little sleep i get or how tired/fatigued/etc i am they don't really even suggest anything

I used to get sleep paralysis auditory hallucinations, fucking terrifying shit bro. Literally heard loud breathing behind my head one time, and another time I heard a scratchy female voice saying random shit I couldnt understand. I can't sleep on my back or theres a good chance of it happening.

Same shit happened to me, haven't slept on my back for over 5 years now lol

I wouldn't really say horrific but I love the dopamine high from this place so much I'm regularly posting here past my bed time which is something I plan on correcting as I have lots of homework as this semester is starting to ramp up.

Severe sleep apnea, so yes. Before I figured out i had it, i thought i had insomnia. So i began taking sleeping pills. They'd just make me dizzy, and i'd wake up feeling hungover. When I found out i had sleep apnea, I began abusing caffeine pills to stay awake. One time I remember eventually crashing, and sleeping for a few hours. When i woke up, I hallucinated that a female android (anime style) was in my room talking to me. I also thought I was an android. Trippy/10, would not recommend. Another time, I ended up being up for 48 hours straight. My heart was beating out of my chest, and I almost checked myself into the ER.

Idk why it only happens when you sleep on your back. People don't understand or believe that this shit actually happens to people. Imagine being unable to move and having some old hag witch walk over to the side of your bed.
