As in music, TV shows, books, games and so on. Every passing day I feel less inclined to enjoy any bit of media because it's so utterly unrelatable; the singer has probably never gone a day without sex, the TV character always has a major romantic sub-plot, the author is always a keen observer of the people that surround him (not a loner), etc.

The same goes for things that don't have anything to do with romance, because I can't shake the feeling that the person making it is a normie who would probably hate me if he ever got to meet me. It's getting to the point where I can only enjoy things that are either lost in time or I'm unable to identify the performer's intentions, like say polka music. I also listen to free stuff from bandcamp from male singer-songwriters, because at least then I get a chance to enjoy something without any pretense of being preachy or in your face.

I wish we had like a content creation thread, that way I could enjoy what like-minded people make. I remember once in the old subreddit that someone linked an Asian guy rambling incoherently on YouTube, he almost had no views and was a young man likely losing his mind over time, but it was so relatable that I'd listen to him for hours on end.

...Honestly, who knew this is what my life would come to.

I lost all my copes because of women.

This is extremely common especially as you reach your early/mid 20s and realize a relationship might never happen.

That's why all of my media-related consumption has been purely scientific or technology based lately. I really can't relate to the way relationships just "happen" in movies.

Not to mention movies with sex and romance just give me a combination of depression and incel rage.

As you become more shuttered from the outside world you'll have to drop a lot of the things you used to do in order to stay sane.

It's amazing, really. On the topic of media, if anyone remembers the hysteria that used to go around about how violent content would desensitize people - you wanna know what truly achieves that effect? Unwanted isolation. I used to be a very caring and empathetic person but after years of living like a pariah, you just stop relating altogether.

Even stuff that's supposed to be for 'outsiders' like 90s alternative or whatever feels to me like fake normie posturing. So much content out there and almost none of it feels like something I can identify with.
