I'm getting close to 32 years old, but during my teens and 20s, things were much more sane. People were much less fat, men could easier much find employment, weird SJW types with colored hair had no power or audience.
There was always crazy hypergamy, but now it's so bad you have many willing to be a cuck, donate money to women online, support their GF or wife when she cheats, or date older women like it's normal and healthy.
Women also couldn't locate the top chads within a 100 mile radius on instagram or tinder within a few clicks. You only competed with men locally, maybe at your school or work place.
It's like the meme clown world, except it's not going to end and clown world is now the new normal.

1989 - 1999
post-communist era, people are still optimistic, grateful over their freedom and also reasonably "afraid" of breaking the rules and just doing whatever they want, including just bullying others out of hanging out for being too uncool, girls using verbal harrassment to humiliate and make others into their bitch is unheard of, they act nice and courteous with everyone including young boys that aren't "hot".
however there are still cracks, there are serious differences in how people act around those with money, it's not uncommon for the "money guy" in the neighborhood to gather everyone around them, and you are absolutely fucked if you are not in that guy's good graces, can't even hang out with your friends because they are all desperate to hang around the home of the guy with the color TV and shit.
not really easy but no overt antagonism either. i remember this period fondly.
1999 - 2009
breaking point, people are starting to become mean, breaking the rules wherever they can, nobody seems to do just do their fucking job anymore, everyone's #1 occupation is "how can I not respect my responsibilities and fuck others over, how can I immediately shake off anything unpleasant that I have to do" this includes parents treating you like disposable garbage, and women who start slowly losing their temper if they have to cooperate with or talk to unsexy males for too long.
high-ranking males mimic women's behavior when it comes to dealing with uncool people, no way out by just "hanging with the brahs".
even top female students cheat on tests and have atrocious behavior in general like bullying and blackmailing others, putting them down aggressively in general earshot, something unheard of just a few years earlier. this is often enough to intimidate you out of even propositioning them, let alone getting rejected.
hearing "ummmmm, can you like just leave for a second" from young girls, or having them find bullshit reasons to prevent you from hanging out or being in their proximity is common.
2009 - present
everything from the "old world" is gone.
nobody does anything they even mildly dislike or follows any rule they feel is remotely restrictive, ugly and uncool people are bluntly told to fuck off, promiscuity and shitty behavior are everywhere, women specifically get off on doing the things that men dislike.
at this point even money starts becoming less relevant because women can choose to share a GL rich guy or just wait.
the rich bald guys with cars who used to fuck teens in the 90s are roaming around all alone doing their coper bullshit that no one cares about.
somehow it seems like all the life is sucked out of most life options, like they all just suck and put you in solitude or around super ugly and defective people and you get shat on and suckered out of money. and money is worth less than ever.
hardly a coincidence, it's the natural end result of the upper normie masses successfully agitating, fighting and cheating from 1989 until 2009 until everything good is flowing their way, opportunities, dates, being around remotely good-looking and healthy people, doesn't matter how many rules of basic conduct have to fall.
pretty much game over unless you plan to invent the new facebook and make billions.
