Anybody else have really bad dandruff?

I'm black so I go to the barbershop every 2 weeks. And Everytime he takes the clippers to my head, Its like someone is sprinkling salt over my shoulders. I know he makes fun of me as soon as I leave.

Depends on the time of the year. I have especially bad dandruff during the spring and summer for some reason, but I comb the shit out of my hair until it's unnoticeable from surface level.

I use selsun blue shampoo.

I moistruize with Jamaican Black Castor Oil and Cantu Shea Leave in conditioner

Have you tried to switch products once in a while to see if there's something else on the market that would work better for you? Also do you know if you have a skin condition such as psoriasis or eczema?

dandruff is a sign of greasiness too, it is advisable to clean it to dryness

It could be your diet. I may be white, but I have a similar type of hair that black people have (although not exactly). Try L’Oreal Paris Elvive Total Repair 5 Repairing Shampoo and Conditioner and Garnier Whole Blends Color Care Conditioner with Argan Oil and Cranberry Extracts. That stuff not only makes my hair look straighter, smoother and silkier, but it also kills any dandruff. Head and Shoulders never did it for me.

I washed it a few hours ago, and it got reduced by about 75 percent, I think I just wasn't washing it often enough with shampoo, I would just drench it in water sometimes

Use a hair dryer. My hair gets like that too in that it grows in thickness instead of length.

can't hair dryers cause breakage on my hair, I usually just put my daily leave-in and oils in and then use my curl sponge like this
