How is it? Tbh Alienware for me it's the typical high end brand you see in malls or technology shops and you think "it's cool but not worth so much money" or "I'm never going to get it" kek, yes with their laptops and computers you can play anything and at max settings but you're paying much more than it would cost you if you bought the parts separately and built the PC yourself. I always thought the target of this brand were richcels that don't care about spending too much money and are lazy to build a computer. Also I remember in middle school when I looked for cool wallpapers I always found many with the Alienware logo kek.

are lazy to build a computer.
You’ll probably find cheaper and better prebuilds than Alienware ones, keep paying for the desktop case with Alien skull logo for me

I m a alien, on dis planet

I actually had 2. One was a 2002 desktop PC (pentium 4, radeon 9700 etc). The gpu died a few times but other than that I gamed a shitload on it. That was pre-dell alienware. I also bought my parents a 15" alienware laptop in 2017. Seems to run pretty well (considering they're boomers with tech). Does get a bit hot and has short battery life.

But building your own desktop is so easy now, would never buy a prebuilt except for a laptop. Takes under an hour to diy

No but I have a really good desktop PC

I got an Alienware laptop, but it was 30% off kek.
Very smooth experience so far. No issues.

Why not build it yourself?
It takes only around an hour and saves you a lot of money.

if only a basic gpu wasn't $2000 bc crypto mining assholes like me didn't buy them all up

Think Alienware was better before they got bought by dell. Now it’s just a dell in an Alienware wrapper.
Got my computer and laptop from digital storm.

Supposedly gaming laptops are mostly a ripoff.

People have done modern comparisons of build it yourself vs Alienware and in more modern times ie think current year 2021 you’re not really saving much if any substantial amount of money to build it yourself instead of going with an established brand like Alienware or whatever.

In the early days of gaming PC’s is when the old build it yourself to save money rule was generally true but again now? Not so much.

Also when you build it yourself vs buying from an established brand if something goes wrong or multiple somethings you have to track down the various different companies you bought this or that part from to see if it’s still under warranty or if you can get a replacement part at all whereas when you go with one company the entire machine is built and covered by them and if you buy an extended warranty you will then have far less headaches to deal with if something fucks up since it’s up to that one company to make things right for you.

Bottom line is the only real reason to build a custom self built PC moving forward is if you’re one of those people that is into having your own highly personalized experience.

Though even with that you don’t have to do it yourself (unless the idea is really super important to you that you built the thing from the ground up) as you can just get in touch with a high end PC customization company like say Falcon Northwest and lay out all your plans to them via using your best photoshop skills of how you want your PC case to be painted and what uber materials that you want it to be made of and not to mention all of the ludicrously expensive actual internal PC components you want it outfitted with for both high end gaming and future proofing etc, etc.

That said my Alienware X51 and Alienware Alpha have served me well, but if I was truly a rich wage slaving entrepreneur CEOcel instead of just a well off NEETbux having white nigger from an upper middle class family I would settle for nothing less than a customized Falcon Northwest rig because then I’d actually have enough money to pay for such a beastly monster PC as that.

I have two machines with mined rx580's that i got after the last crash. Work great and were dirt cheap. Sucks for those that try to build one from scratch though.

nice bro. I'm makin that ETH. Might switch to CTXC or MWC to increase profit, not sure yet

nah I got an IBuyPower my grandpa got it for me when I was 12, specs are trash but I'm broke so it's what I'm stuck with

Theres nothing new worthwhile to play anyways.

Don't buy laptops for gaming. It's a waste of money. You pay 2x the price of a desktop and it gets ruined in a couple years from the heat.
Get a desktop, cheaper, runs cooler, lasts longer.

(Unless you can easily afford another laptop).

I have am Alienware m17. I only use it when I travel.

I built my computer on PCspecialist. Even if they're English and me French, they do very good job and I don't regret my 4200€ desktop.
And now I have 64 fucking gigabytes of RAM after years of being limited to 8.

Honestly Alienware is very expensive. Check the website I mentionned and make you the gaming PC you deserve.
Oh and as @incelerated said : buy a desktop, not a laptop. There's a shitload of reasons to prefer a desktop instead of a laptop.
