The fundamentals of human nature have always intrigued me, especially how it pairs up quite nicely with philosophy (which I am interested in but am not too knowledgeable on). If anyone here has studied psychology with or without a view of having a career in the field, would you recommend it?

It's mostly math nowadays. Especially stochastics/statistics. And very many women study it. Criminal psychology is sadly very rarely something people end up in and there you mostly deal with some child molesters or violent schizophrenics, not with arsonists or serial killers. Be warned, but apart from that: Sounds like a good field for money/individual interest. (Haven't studied it, but have listened to the experience of those that did/told about their career)

Thanks. I would be studying it for personal interest. Also it's funny being around foids pretending they are interested in learning when they only want something interesting to post about on their tiktok :lul:.

It's a social science, which means the field, like @Lebensmüder said, is still heavily based on statistics. You can posit whatever theory, but the numbers have to back it up.

That's very interesting

Why does psychology make you feel that way?

I have a phd in psychoelectrictherapy
