Any of you ride single speed bikes?

I have my MTB with front fork suspension. I use it as my main transporter.

But I am also exploring the possibility of buying a single speed road bike for the city.

Any of you messing with that stuff?

If you get a road bike why on earth would you want it to be single speed? Every time you hit a hill or need to start/stop you're gonna regret it.

If you get one with gear shift you can always just leave it on the highest gear and then you have a single speed bike. But at least you have options.

I used to have a single speed cruiser just for popping around campus. I never had any problems.

I have a BMX since i was a litle kid, i am not using it anymore, i used to to some tricks and such back then when i didn't care for anything.
Nowdays i don't thing i will ever ride a bike again....
