It's just about a beta cuck hobby to be a retro gamer now but I've stuck with it for over a decade. I also think retro games are pretty fun, especially DOS games.

I feel you, DOS games are usually extremely time consuming and unforgiving, especially games like Prince of Persia.

before i didn't have any consoles just a pc, so i got a bunch of emulators (nes,snes,gba,gbc,sega genesis).

favorites where probably phantasy star, chrono trigger, crystallis, dragon quest series, final fantasy series.

Revenge of the shinobi (fucking loved it as a kid and played the shit out of it in middle school when i got an emulator, was actually able to beat it, took me a month though)

Sonic and Knuckles (huge sonic fan in middle school kek, played sonic adventure, sonic adventure 2 and sonic cd as well)

usually prefer jrpgs but i also enjoy most action side scrollers.

Yes. My vintage 2002 xbox gets a lot of use and i still play my PS2, Gamecube and N64 quite a bit. My classic PlayStation (vintage 1997) sits in a box. Although i do fire it up every now and again to check it works.
