After learning the basics I just hit a wall of improvement, it seems the process of improvement for chess is really boring. It's also like a language if you start off playing as a young kid it helps

Unfortunately you need to learn chess theory to become better. At that point it becomes a memorisation game

3 years for me. I am usually around 1200. Highest I was able to reach was 1500

Yea really bummed me out that i couldnt take it further felt i was so close but so far. Just like sex i was never able 2 achieve master rating

I learnt 2 play early with my brother and i did invest a lot of time in it fing games, tactics, even got my parents to drive me to local tournaments i was a frickin loser with this game

Yeah, unfortunately I am so bad that I would probably be rating 100 at that. It would be fun though because sometimes the length of chess makes it boring
