I think autism and wealth are big factors. With wealth you cannot get natural attraction, but you can ascend by being a betabuxxer. Not sure if that counts as essentially prostitution or not, but it's something.

And lots of studies show that autistic males have higher virginity rates than even unattractive guys. So I am pretty sure it is a strong factor. There are lots of studies where people show just a short clip of an autistic person and they are immediately put off.
