Just look at those cool looking fake painted on texture lights in the original, while in new one those lazy millennial worthless hack devs haven't bothered to recreate them and did everything through automation (it looks awful and actually they haven't even bothered to create actual real lamp posts or add real lights to the buildings or some artificial light to the near scene

It's so they could get some free money on new and also existing platforms. They created that shitty remake as advertisement for a sequel that they have already announced.

The remake lacks that color grading and bloom the original had, especially at the city comparison shot. Also, look at the decreased amount of lights in the city shot, it looks awful.
Having this game take more than 10x the size of the original with these downgraded visuals is downright absurd. But unfortunately, this is typical.
People won't care about 4K textures, high-poly models, RT, HDR, or whatever visual feature it is, if devs don't get it right.
