The point is, it is harder to impress an older pers9n than it is to impress a younger one.
An old person will have watched more animes and seen more stories so it gets harder and harder to produce something "original" for them.
Age has nothing to do with it. It all depends on how much anime a person has watched. You can watch a lot of anime at 20 and it won't be that interesting anymore.

this is debatable, if a person started watching anime at 15, for example, and really liked it, then by the age of 20 he can watch a lot of anime. If the guy you responded to is not such a big fan, he will have a different situation.
