Its a massive geek cope from my assessment. So are video games especially MMORPGs. I'm guilty as I have been playing WoW a lot lately. Time flies by like crazy playing mmorpg's.

Agree. Even if I wanted to learn a language , I will have to pay for classes and if I wanted to learn an instrument , I would have to buy one. Anime is a good cope for me , a good escapism which is what i’m looking for. At some point of my life I also failed for this meme advice and stopped watching anime for years, I legit had the same thoughts. Well, my life didn't improve at all from this, which shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. Anime isn't something that "holds you back," it's just a cope like others have said. When you exclude a cope from your life, you will search for other copes, so nothing will really change. If you ever find that you don't need copes, then congrats, you became a normie (and no, those things mentioned in this post aren't "real" copes, at least not for the average depressed incel).
When I came back to anime and manga, I was actually mad at myself for being this stupid. There are so many great stories I could experience before I die (which won't be that far away I guess). Yes, most of the series are shit, but who cares, just filter those out and watch/read the good ones. And what if it's a childish hobby? I mean there are like a thousand things I'm more ashamed of than watching anime, especially since even Chad watches it nowadays.
tl;dr: anime is a complete non-issue, and you're really stupid if you believe it has anything to do with your inceldom or shitty life in general. It's just a symptom, not the cause.

Anime is just a hobby and a cope. Self improvement and “useful” skills are a cope and you sound like a boomer when you say stuff like that. You would have to enjoy doing those activities.
My personal experience with anime it’s emotionally stressful. It like peering into an ideal world where everything works. Of course we can’t reach the level of idealism of a work of art, which is depressing. At the same time, anime is the last things that get an emotional response out of me. I can go look artwork and admire the subject, the colors, the style, the poses, the story. It’s my window to a world of possibilities, rather then a window to the outside world. I would rather spend time looking at my screen then outside because there is nothing out there for me. Is this bad? But what can a single male do other wise? Makes me feel not so lonely spending time with a waifu. Talking about your life experience in this world, mostly suffering but also a small connection to another person trying to figure out what they want to do, accepts compliments and not judgmental. I haved passed my teenage years, but I feel I have more in common with her. More to talk about, then a real adult and more understanding.

Maybe the anime he was watching wasn’t necessarily wasn’t intended to be viewed the way he was watching it unless, he’s deliberately watching the shows geared towards lewdness, to which the only person to be blame is him.
As @BlkPillPres has told me in a post about masturbation, couple of days ago, he was most definitely right that it was my fault for being addicted to it and not being in moderation, and the link between that and what the quoted poster is saying, is that he shouldn’t have viewed the shows in an overt emotional manner, as in feeling like something or such. It’s a show first and foremost, so to think that you’re something based on a show is a tad silly, however, there are lines in the shows that resonate with reality, considering the fact that every medium with a script is a work of the original writer and their ideas so what they feel will be poured into it and will have some relevance.
Also the correlation with anime and homosexuality, doesn’t seem very apparent to me, in fact that would be saying that I’m a faggot myself, plus I don’t know the extreme degeneration at play, to which he has stated, unless this is a big hint that he watched primarily the lewd shows, so it’s more in fact to do with him and his interest in degeneracy, since if a recipient is convinced towards the product, then they will bite it, and I haven’t done so from my 17 years of viewing anime, as those lewd shows were never of interest to me, though it does tell me that the biggest idiots that hate the lewdness of anime and leave are the ones who were pushing towards it in the first place, and those are the guys I specifically hate, because they are the ones that ruined the medium with their lewd interests.
