In the Bible, sin is sin.
There is no categorization of sin (like felony crimes, misdemeanors, and etc). Once sin is committed, the entirety is corrupted.
Because Adam and Eve had sinned against God, corruption was apparent in them. We are the recreation from them. Even from generations later down the road, we are the same because of flesh.

Punishment is the same per se. Punishment isn't exactly equal in the Bible because once you commit any sin, you deserve any sort of punishment.
