Many of them realize in what of a pickle they are and try to escape Ukraine only to be hunted down by Ukrainian authorities and be sent back to front.
There are plenty of recordings and posts of Western volunteers experiencing sheer terror after their compound got hit by a Kalibr missile without them even having a chance to get on the front.

As we speak, the Russian army is on its way towards completely surrounding Kyiv and there is a bloodbath of Ukrainian soldiers and civilians impending.
