As you know America loves being obsessed with sports. Sport icons are like Gods to normies. People pay their hard earned money to see these guys. When Covid19 came into effect, people went insane because they cannot see Tyrone play basketball for a while.
They must see superior 6'5 Gigatyrone with his prime genetics crush all the inferior Tyrones who have lesser genetics.
It got me thinking when it comes to sports, America seems to be more obsessed about Athleticism freaks rather than skill.
In football, they have a thing called the Combine where they measure the latent genetic ability of the player. They literally make it a focus on how good a player is genetically.
In Basketball, they're obsessed about people like Lebron or Zion Williamson. Is it the skill they're obsessed about? Maybe but the real reason they're famous is they're genetically gifted. They have a vertical jump that is twice that of an average person, they can react in times that is basically impossible for humans etc.
Even in less famous sports like Boxing or MMA, they're obsessed with Athleticism. Mike Tyson pretty much was a genetic freak and it played a huge role in why he was so dominant and could knock dudes out so fast. When he got older his Athleticism faded and his true skill got exposed. But it didn't stop him from being so popular.
In contrast when it comes to Soccer, the two best players are Messi and C.Ronaldo. They probably are genetic freaks too but its never the main focus. People are always focusing on how much skill they have and how they come up with incredible tricks all the time. That's why even though they are 30+, they still dab on all the new Zoomer players because they don't rely on Athleticism so much.
Its funny how Americans keep talking shit about Nazis. Yet they keep hosting "Games like the olympics" to show the world the genetic superiority of its people.
America is probably the most genetics obsessed country in the world.
If you don't get what athleticism is, just see below.
